Search Engine Land and Search Engine Journal both flagged the same risk: if Google can create the image inside the answer box, fewer people may click through to publishers, ecommerce pages, or image-heavy inspiration content. Google Images is also getting a new personalized gallery-style homepage on desktop in the U.S., replacing the old plain search box experience over the coming weeks.
